I bought 128/4383 a few weeks ago, which was in a pretty sorry state. Having stripped it back I found a fair amount of corrosion in all the usual places and more. I had set my mind on a fairly extensive and expensive rebuild.I posted some info on the tech section of the forum and Andy was one of the many people who offered advice and support. Within a couple of weeks he had driven down and sorted some keys, taken a look at the car and given me a reality check. The engine and gearbox in great shape and lots of excellent spares but it would have cost 1000s to sort the body.

Andy offered me the opportunity to buy a rolling chassis (unfinished project -shell in pretty good shape). Andy also added a set of sills in the deal. The car arrived today and was in my opinion much better than Andy described. I now have pretty much two of everything, lots of repair panels and a project that can now really start top to take shape. I am absolutely delighted with the car!

I have to say a huge thank you to Andy at Appleyards, who has literally saved me thousands of pounds, while providing a friendly, reliable and honest service. I have already got to work on it and I will no doubt be calling on Andy over a number of years.

Thought it was well worth a mention on the forum and to heap much deserved public praise on Andy.
